Technology Showcase
Here are examples of my work from the MAET program. I have grown tremendously throughout the program and would like to share my diverse use of technology tools that I have created. I feel confident using technology in the classroom and courageous enough to try out new tools! The technology tools that I am including are Glogster, Jing, Edmodo, YouTube, Powtoon, Weebly, Wiki, and Storify.
Data Visualization
I used the tool Glogster to make a data visualization representing 3 tools that will help a Spanish student become a more confident speaker. These tools are VoiceThread, ePals, and Skype. Glogster allows you to connect links to websites and embed videos. I also embedded my podcast that describes a wicked problem that I face in my Spanish classroom.

Professional Learning Plan
One aspect of being a teacher, is that you are always learning. Whether you are taking a class, going to a professional development or PLC meeting, discussing topics with colleagues, or learning from your PLN. The MAET program has taught me the importance of integrating all of these into my daily life as a teacher. I am excited to apply educational technology into my classroom on a daily basis.

Jing Screencast
Edmodo is a great tool to develop a flipped classroom, my partner and I created a Jing presentation that can be used for professional development. Highlighted are Edmodo's features such as creating classes, assigning homework, giving assessments, using polls, embedding Google Docs, and more!
Edmodo
After researching Edmodo, I decided to implement what I learned and use it as my Learning Management System (LMS). Edmodprovides learners with the opportunity to use what they are learning outside of the classroom with a variety of Web 2.0 tools. My Edmodo would be a great tool for any hybrid Spanish 1 classroom.
YouTube and Powtoon
These videos give a description of Chapter 3 & 8 from Why Don't Students Like School? by Daniel T. Willingham. Each video is 3 minutes long, gives 3 key ideas of the chapter, and 3 practical implications for educators. Chapter 3 was created with YouTube and Chapter 8 with PowToon.
Chapter 3: Why Do Students Remember Everything That's on Television and Forget Everything I Say?
Chapter 8: How Can I Help Slow Learners?

Weebly
A Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Weebly that can be used as a source of information including how to use UDL to meet the diverse needs of students in elementary, middle, & high school, and UDL with assistive technologies. All of the sources are annotated and include citations.
Wiki
This wiki, Cool Writing Tools, explain 4 different tools, their strengths & weaknesses, and how they can be re-purposed for inquiry, construction, communication, and expression for a learner. I researched the tool, Writing Prompts, which is a modern way to get your students thinking about different topics at the beginning of class.
Storify
Storify captures all the great moments of the day! Check out a day from the MAET Summer Cohort.
